Ive read on here that it takes them for ever to do it. the guy venting on the post i read said he had sent his in a cpl months prior and the list of breeders still wasn't updated with him in it. I need to get busy and send mine in as well.

Hey there, fellow Ameraucana lovers!

I am in love with the breed, myself, despite the fact that every Ameraucana roo I've owned turns out mean---what's with that?---but I was wondering if any of y'all have any pictures of BBS ameraucanas. If so, please do post 'em here for me to see.

I would love to breed BBS Ameracaunas. I figured that if I had a black roo and a splash hen, and a blue hen, I could get a nice mixture of BBS. Any ideas on this?

Would love to know what you think of my plan.

We do the BBS ourselves. Here are a few pictures of a black rooster and black and blue hens, I don't have any splashes yet as my blue boy is only about 4 months old. These are Meredith line and were very nice birds. I no longer have the Meredith pair (black rooster and blue hen) but I do have three Meredith birds growing out from their pairing, two blue boys and a blue girl. I have some black and blue BlehmxSmith Ameraucanas. The blacks from that set are just as nice, maybe nicer, but the blues need work- a lot of ticking marks, etc.

They are. My husband calls them army man green because they look plastic to him!

I was hoping someone here could help calm down my expectations.

I (finally got around to) joined the Ameraucana organization. Sent my app in via email and paid the family membership via paypal (about 11 days ago), but haven't gotten any kind of response. Does it take a while for the app to get processed?

I know - patience is a virtue, it just doesn't happen to be one of mine.

I'm betting you'll get something in the snail- mail but I do get that impatience thing. Send a message to the Secretary/Treasurer Michael Muenks. He'll respond and let you know your status.

I too have been waiting, over 5 weeks now and I did email,,,it's the other clubs I joined at the same time that did get back to me within a day or two that make the ABC look bad,,, LOL
