Yes and Im first on the egg list I hope lol
Thank you Thank you Thank you !Along this train of thought, this year's order of Ameraucana chicks came to me with positively orange feet. I don't remember any yellow/orange on my last year's order from the same breeder.
I was in a panic, showed pictures to another breeder and she said they looked like perfectly normal Ameraucana feet. Still not satisfied I emailed the breeder and he said not to worry, they would be fine. He also commented that the breeder pens were on a type of grass that produced very orangey yokes, but weren't on that grass last year. I even emailed a friend of mine who is an avian vet to ask if it was something akin to the jaundice most newborn babies get. He said chick feet colors change as they get older and that it might be from the changes of metabolism at hatching.
I just wanted to add this to the discussion so other newbies (like me!) don't panic when they see orange feet on their purebred Ameraucana chicks.

They aren't the most cooperative subjects, are they. Worse than kids, IMO.I tried to get some pictures today, it didn't go very well. very few cooperated.
They all look so small in the pictures, The LF boy is actually pretty big. I think He is starting to molt, so he doesn't look the best right now
LF Black Rooster (blind in one eye)- I don't think I like his comb, but I like his beard
LF Blue Pullet (I could only get a head shot)
Bantam Black Rooster
Bantam Black Cockerel
Bantam White Pullet
The white pullet and black cockerel are penned together and like to pluck each others beard. I am going to have to put them into conditioning pens soon. Can't wait to get my order from Paul and Angela Smith. I have a feeling many, if not all my LF will be sold or put into the egg flock. There are only 3 of the 6 that have a shot at making it in the breeding program.
I'm not and ship no issues so far![]()
We need to be NPIP to be involved in the "sale or delivery of hatching eggs." I'll ask about what's involved at our next poultry meeting on Thursday. Would be nice for going to shows, too.
That, and the girls will have to start laying again! We did some rearranging so that matings are complementary, rather than based upon ownership. (There are two brothers involved - ages 6 and 10. They will probably have to draw up contracts pertaining to chick ownership when the time comes. lol!) I didn't realize what strife moving a few chickens around would cause - even the ducks stopped laying for a week.
Your OE chicks are adorable!
muell, those are not Ameraucanas, they're Easter Eggers. Very pretty, though! I have both.
How do you tell the difference?

Love the last shot of your black rooster - such sheen, is that sun you guys are having?! He really seems to flow nicely front to back. Can't wait to get some blacks!
