What color should an ameraucana's legs be? I thought mine was an A but she must be an easter egger, she has green legs.

Well maybe it is an Ameraucana then, The legs might be slate and I'm color blind. Thanks for the info.

Slate is blue. Black ameraucanas can have black legs.

Does anyone have any comb development pictures of pullets at point of lay?

I have a Barred rock that just started laying but I think all chickens are different when it comes to combs. I have 4 New Hampshires and two have short combs and the other two are much bigger. Supposed they are all the same age. I got them when they were 4 weeks so the seller told me anyway. They should all be close pol. They will be 23 weeks old this sunday. I will look in my pics and see if I can find a picture of the one that is laying. I think if you look at my profile and go to the bottom of the page it has a pic of her in with the New Hamps.

Ooops I meant to specify and say Ameruacana pullets at point of lay. My Ameruacana pullet's combs and Easter Egger's combs are so different from another chicken's combs I dont know what they will look like when they are about to lay.

This is also for you Jekkalynn. I did find the picture and it is in the New Hamps pictures. Her comb is pretty good sized. I don't know if you can see that or not. She just started laying about 10 days ago.

Oh, Okay, In that case I have another story. I have a white I'm not sure anymore what it is, boy or girl. It has grayish green legs and it's parent came from a hatchery and they said the parents are Ameraucana so I'm not sure. As far point of lay my pullet at least that's what I thought it was turned 4 months old yesterday and to make a long story short it did the deed with my Barred rock. I thought no that can't be. It did it again today with the same bird. So as far as comb it isn't very big. It is also on my profile pic under my three chicks.
