I'm sure you will really like them!! Ours were sooo calm and sweet, I was astounded!! These were my first Ameraucanas, first anything aside from the English Orps we had last year and the difference in temperament is crazy. Of course they are a bit more wary now they have had some exposure to my kids but still a HUGE improvement over the Orpingtons. These are our 2 boys; Sven is the Blue Wheaten & Mikey is the Wheaten. I really like Sven the BW.

Oh, look at all that lush green stuff! They must think they have died and gone to heaven. Even in the summer our lawn is not as lush and full of goodies as that one. Hubby likes to keep it real short.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry. I'll have to go back and change it. You're right, it's a blue wheaten and a wheaten. I originally wanted a blue, but after looking at pictures over BYC of the blue wheaten and wheaten roosters, I think they're gorgeous.

They are. I love mine. They lay well, aren't very spooky and the blue wheaten male I have is the most beautiful gentle male bird I've owned as far as Ameraucanas go.

Your hens have great color in their tails! Remind me what lines yours are.

Pretty good with the exception of one. She started out with good color but after a couple of months of steady laying it has faded.

These were taken back in November when they first started laying.
