Levi is a man now, 18 weeks old and mated one of the older hens this morning! Dutch wasn't in the pen yet so the field was wide open, LOL.

Can you tell gender of bw's by color or wing color by about 2 weeks? I have 3 chicks, 2 very yellow and 1 whiter all over...wing color on the lighter one is lighter as well.

Well we have chicks out of the Split Lavenders now. The hens were black & the Cock was the strange colored Black with the white mottling pattern. So question "What color are the chicks?"

Did you end up with any lavs in the hatch? That is really odd- I got chicks that color from a blue copper-ish araucana x white cochin. (banty EEs)​
