Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I'M FINALLY GETTING SOME REAL AMERAUCANAS!!!! I'm so excited!!! I found a guy only about 20 minutes away who has (according to him) Paul Smith breeding stock, and he's got about 30-40 chickies for me to choose from, which I will be doing on Tuesday. I'm sooooo freakin happy!!! Finally my sweet little EE roo, Monty, will have more girlfriends to hang out with. He's been alone ever since last month when his other girlfriends all perished in a vicious coon massacre. Poor baby....but now he's gonna have some classy, fancy NEW girlfriends, lol. He told me he was happy :D "Monty, you're getting new girlfriends...." "SAY WHAAAAAAAT?!" lol
Lol, just how i felt about a 2 weeks ago when I found mine. Also from Paul Smith lines mixed with whitmore farms.

I have 1 splash/white, 1 definitely black, 4 definitely blue and two that I cannot decide whether they are dark blue or black. Those two are middle back and front left.

Ten eggs still in the 'bator, 3 or 4 pipping. I am hoping by getting all these out, I have not messed up the others. The one complaint of the Brinsea is the crowded space, however this is the best hatch I have had in two years.

So, I was wondering if you all could give me some help for when I go to pick out my babies. I've seen lots of pics of the adults, obviously, but I'm not sure how good I would be at picking out the babies of each color. I know the blacks are black (duh), and the blues are pretty easy to spot, too, but I don't think I've ever seen a splash chick or blue wheaten/splash wheaten. I know the wheatens are a buff color, but what do the other wheaten types look like? If you guys have any pics you could show me so I'll know what color I'm getting, that'd be great. I don't really trust a google search to show me actual Ameraucanas if I search for pics. I just want to be able to tell the difference in colors of chicks. Thanks in advance, everyone!!

LOL, the second I posted my question, I saw this! Is that what a splash will always look like? That kind of gray-ish yellow? Sorry I'm such a noob.
