Wheaten/Blue Wheaten or Blue/Black/Splash. Buff either right in there or not far behind.

Really, I've never heard of flighty or aggressive Ameraucanas except in Silvers.

My lavs are the friendliest ones I have, more so than my wheatens or blacks. Have to wait til the buffs grow up to find out.

My EEs aren't flighty- especially the ones I've made with cochins. Like Dipsy said- thier background can have a lot to do with it. Probably why the silvers are so not-people-friendly.

True. Mine is hatchery. Cochins... Well of course they're friendly!

I feel so sorry for my wheaten Ameraucana. I have a cochin rooster that that considers her his "special friend" above all others and he abuses her! My white ones are fine as well as my Australorps, but that one hen has a bare spot on her back. I just have 4 hens for now but am getting 20 more chicks soon. I need them to come of age quickly so he can spread the love around a bit. Poor girl! I am an infrequent poster on here but saw the conversation about Ameraucanas being friendly or not. That wheaten one is kind of nervous but my two white ones are SUPER friendly. One tries to get into the car every chance she gets!
