Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

If you don't want to wait, maybe you can buy eggs?

I ordered some eggs online of another breed BEFORE I knew I would not be getting the lavenders. She sent them parcel post and they didn't get here for a while. The package arrived yesterday, and the postmistress called me to say they were here, but she recommended I refuse the parcel. It was damaged and ice cold. She said no one ever sends hatching eggs parcel post. Anyway, I have asked the seller to replace them, so I will be waiting on those. I only have a small incubator, so between those and the eggs I have my little incubator will be full for some time. The other issue is that with adding the wheatens, I will need to be adding more pens for breeders, and I am already behind on that.

I think maybe I better just go outside and work on my barn. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Maybe l will do that later this spring.

I love chickies hatching. This is second generation from chicks I got from Peachick last year. So cute

This is my favorite Silver chick I received in my John Blehm order, I named it Sleepykinns.

She will just lay on her little back and fall right asleep in my hand, literally every time I pick her up. I really, really hope she does in fact turn out to be a she, I'm so attached to this one already, I would hate to have to send her to another home!

I also had one of my own Blue Wheaten babies hatch this morning.

I'm thinking about calling this one Poofykinns...
