I can't wait until they fluff! Eight made it to lockdown, and 3 are out, I can see 2 more pips.

Howdy,
I appreciate the thoughts. I only got two lavenders from JB (yes, don't castigate me. first time buying day old chicks and not thinking straight...!), and the one I was asking about...just overnight it become clear that it is a boy. As I only got two, that thought is over. I have two lovely, lovely Wheaten pullets, and will try to get a boy for them in a few months (Jeremy, pay back time!!

), but am overwhelmed right now. From that small Blehm order, I will be keeping the two very nice Wheaten pullets, the better Silver pullet, and the stunning White cockerel. Ended up with a random Chantecler from him as well and I really can't tell what that bird is: M or F!!

How do these 9-week olds seem?

Here are the Wheatie chicas:

Oh my...such beautiful birds! I don't post much on the thread but I do come here often to look at the pictures. I have two 4-week-olds that I want to post soon for help with gender id. I'm thinking both are roos

but I also have 4 EEs with 2 being definite hens and 2 roos (they are 5 weeks old).

I just love Ameraucana's.

My WM blues and blacks have hatched, and they are really cute!! I have 3 blues and 4 blacks, and one more egg cooking in the incubator.

First two blues, my favorite color!

This pic is of my biggest (a blue) and the littlest, a black. The black was a total surprise, I thought that egg was a dud!

All the baby combs look very wide to me, I am afraid nearly all of them are roos again!

What a year for roos!
