Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I'm new to ameraucanas but trying to learn as much as possible about the proper type and color. I notice that my 2 wheaten roos have completely white beards - will that change as they grow out? They are supposed to have black beards, correct? Any other comments on them?

I know what you mean - I hatched 4/4 wheaten roos. I do have 3 lavs but they are too young to id yet. I have a bunch of eggs on order so I'm hoping for better luck next time!​

You know I think part of the reason that we all keep hatching is because we never have enough hens....................................................?

Speaking of hens...I am hoping that these three are pullets

. They're only six weeks old though, so I got a long ways to go..I have to take pics of them individually because if I put them all together they get pretty crazy. They have some peck marks on their beaks but all in all my bigger girls are leaving them alone now. They are in a separate cage in the big girls coop. I didn't take a pic of their brother. Sorry the first two are blurry!
