Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some recent pictures of my Ameraucanas!

Waffle
Pancake
Cute ..very cute..I like Waffles and Pancakes..nice birds

Would these be considered paints?

They are white with black spots, and the odd brown feather on the roosters. If it helps, the person I got them from has, wheaten, black, and lavender roosters, and wheaten, black, white, lavender, and silver hens. All pure ameraucanas

Here are some LF silver chicks from yesterday.Ready to ship gro gel and heat pack.My photos are not very good but they are mine.I will have 1 more hatch of these.

I have one wheaten cockerel and four blue wheaten pullets. I would like to breed them next year and I was wondering what color the offspring would be. I thought it would be 50 wheaten and 50 blue wheaten but one of the recent posts mentioned a splash wheaten. What would the percentage of offspring be then? Thank you for your help.

Splash Wheaten will not be possible with your current flock - you are absolutely correct. I saw this graphic on a FB list the other day, and it is very helpful to sort out B/B/S genetics.

Nice chart.

How are those chicks Dana?

Your ameraucanas are beautiful. Is pancake a blue wheaten?
Thank you!! I'm not sure, as I'm new to the Wheaten coloring. Maybe the experts could tell me? Her tail isn't black tipped like Waffle who I am assuming is a Wheaten.

Those are some pretty nice looking birds. Are they LF? Where did you get them from? They both look very promising. I'd love to see a rear view from Pancake. Hope you plan to dedicate yourself them and show them!

God Bless,
Thank you!! Yes they are LF, they are 11 weeks old. I bought them as day olds from a breeder near me, Unionhill Ranch. They were (IMO) very expensive chicks so I am glad they look promising! My son does want to show them. I took some better pictures of Pancake today. (Including Lila the photo bomber!)
