Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Wasn't somebody tracking chick's tail feathers to sexing? My blues are almost 16 weeks, I can say I have one male and two females. When the two females had tails and the male didn't start getting his tail for almost another week later.

Saw a youtube video on how to tell male from female on 2-month old chicks (mostly by comb, wattles, and tail feathers) like Wyandotte, Hamburg, Buff Orp, Brown Leghorn, EE, RIR, Turken, etc, that I found interesting.

How much would you expect to pay for a quad of "show quality" ameraucanas: 1 rooster, 1 hen, and 2 four-month-old pullets?? I have never spent this much, much less PAID for a rooster. Lol I want to make sure I am not over-paying. She mispelled as "Ameracunas" which raises a red flag. But she said they came from Paul Smith lines. Thanks in advance.

They look good to me (but i not one to give any final info on them) . I would contact Paul Smith(himself) about them (there is an Ameraucana group/club on line///to which i'm sure he is a part of) . He is probably on this group also .

Do let us know how it works out .

Just out of curiosity what kinda price are they asking for these birds ?

Thanks
