One of my keepers from this year's hatches. Slowly but surely I'm narrowing down my breeding pens for 2017. I am sure my husband would loooove for me to speed up the process to cut down on feed bills. Lol!

The 2016 Ameraucana National Meet, last weekend, in Lebanon, Indiana was "epic" as they say.  Members came from far east as South Carolina, as far west as Colorado, as far south as Texas and as far north as Michigan's U.P.  A complete meet report will be in our next Ameraucana Newsletter, due around the 1st of December.  We'll also announce the location of our 2017 Ameraucana National Meet by then so you can make plans early to attend.

The Ameraucana Breeders Club National meet isn't until next month, Nov 5&6, in Caldwell, ID.

It rotates between the Districts, so next year it is in the North Central District, and the following year it is in the North East....then, we finally get to have one down here in the good ol South East!!

Yay! I'm glad you're coming. I guess we can all have a backyardchickens reunion!

Yes, I am planning on entering a few birds. I bought some more conditioning cages yesterday and am going to install them in the barn on Sunday. I'm not sure what all I'm bringing yet. I have seven breeds/color varieties, but I don't want to overwhelm myself by bringing the whole gang.

Lol! In regard to Ameraucanas, I'll probably bring 2-3 pullets and maybe a cockerel. Still deciding! I'm excited about going. This will be my first time to attend that show. We go to Knoxville a few times each year for football games. I love the area!
