Easter Egger. But still a very cute chick. Easiest way to know if you have Easter Eggers or Ameraucana is if a color was specified at purchase. No specific colors/varieties, you are getting Easter Eggers. Ameraucana always have a color/variety specified.

The Standard only deals with the chicken, not the egg so "blue" is it. The shade of blue that you like is as good as any. I believe blue shell color without being influenced by tinted or brown pigment is a very light blue, but some folks like them darker. Just avoid any greenish hue.Anyone know the correct color of ameraucana eggs? I bought some through a breeder who shows her birds. The colors ranged from blue to blue/green to blue/white.. I read they are only a slate blue. What do you think?
