I've NEVER seen my bantam Ameraucana roo mate any ladies, but ALL of their eggs are fertile....so I'd say unless there'e a higher power at work, he's just a gentleman and keeps his private affairs private!! hee hee

Hi everyone. I got my first Ameraucana fowl last year. Before that, I was raising Cochin. I love this breed. Are there any NPIP breeders in Arkansas out there? I hope to be certified by the end of Feb. I am on the list to be checked. I only have black ameraucana and one blue right now. I have so many questions? Is there a Ameraucana club in Arkansas or shows/exhibits anytime soon? I live near Harrison. I want to buy some more after I get certified or can buy now if older than 4 months? Any suggestions would be great. Happy to chat!

please and thank you,

Cray

When I had my Blue Ameraucana roo, he hardly ever crowd and seldom did I see him mount the ladies, but I knew I had fertile eggs.

My BW roo on the other hand crows non stop from 5:30AM to 6:30AM and then he gets around to the 18 ladies in his coop on a regular basis.
