I am excited now I have two pips and at least one more egg rocking. Hope you get a good hatch from my eggs.

I'm so looking for some black ameraucanas Purebred hens or pullets....I posted under wtb and no response......... I'm trying to find show quality or nearly so....It's for a project and I suspect during spring break, folks aren't selling, but can anyone pm me with some points on where to look for top quality on these or if you have some you'd consider parting with...

Thanks so much.

Ok I will be the first to admit that I am TOTALY confused about telling the difference between Americana, Americauna, and EE's. So I don't know (other than the woman who gave me these said they were Americana's) if this is truly what I have. I do know they hatched from blue eggs, but other than that, Who Knows. Anyway, of the 4 I got from her, this is my favorite. I love the color of her.

I am looking forward to seeing her when she is fully feathered.

Hi Billy, just wanted to let you know that there is no such thing as an Americauna. I know some hatcheries list them as such but there is no "i" in AMERAUCANA, the correct spelling. It is confusing, it certainly was to me at first (I spelled it the same way). Go to the Ameraucana Breeders Club page when you get a chance, there is a history of the breed as well as photos of true Ameraucanas and other interesting info. This site is ameraucana.org it may make things more clear for you regarding this breed.
