I ordered a new sportsman 1500 and a hatcher this morning. They will be here in 7-10 days!!!!

Only problem is, my chickens didn't pay for them........

we finally got wheatons up here... The only problem is not sure how long they well keep up shape and colour

Jerrmy-I'm so jealous! Not only am I not getting my LF lavenders, I still haven't received ANY of my chickies. I guess he must be behind on filling all his orders. Maybe it's just as well. We just had another cold snap, and it rained and snowed heavily last night. A lot of the snow melted, but the ground is pretty well covered with snow. I'm sure a lot of it will melt today.

I asked to have wheatens substituted for my lavenders. They are so pretty, I'm sure I will like them, too. Since one of my objectives is to be able to get some of the local kids involved in showing, that might be a better choice than the lavenders for now. Maybe by the time I get some lavenders they will be accepted by the APA.

He is SO handsome- you just can't help it.

I am getting one of my BW boys and a wheaten girl (from Jean's stock) back next week. Nellabean has had them since last summer. Maybe I'll finally get a decent number of fertile eggs out of that pen. Everything from that coop is fertile- except the wheatens! Grrrrr.

Congratulations! These cabinet incubators are going to get us all in trouble. I bought the Brinsea 380 and love it! I answered an ad on Craigslist to hatch a bunch of ducks for a lady. As long as I don't have to raise them. The bator beast sits in the den just about filled to capacity! I should just hatch once a year and call it good.
