(It's photo-lighting thing. Chick number 1 IS Black. No question. Jean's babies are well defined.)

I LOVE

How cool is that! You got a SUPRISE chick!

I have six Ameraucana pullets which are 3-blue and 3-splash. I am wanting a roo for them and have room for one. I can get a black, a blue or a splash. What color combinations would I get with each?

Ok, here's another "is it an EE or Ameraucana" question. I got 2 blacks and a blue from a guy this weekend. He said he bought them as Ameraucana but neither of us are really sure of the exact differences. It sounds like some here aren't either so I don't feel so bad

They have dark legs, white skin, lay blue eggs. Yet the one black has white lacing around her neck. I love them and I don't care *what* they are but it'd be nice to know either way so I know what to call them.
Here's a picture of the 2 blacks. Can anyone help with identifying them? I'm thinking EE since the one black has lacing instead of a solid color, don't Ameraucanas have to be a solid color? And if one is an EE because of her coloring, that means all of them are EE's by default, correct? Or not?

Ok. But I don't know what that means lol! (I'm sorry).
Do you know the answer to the question about the lacing?
