Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

They won't sell unless someone has a large screw loose....

Just stick with the breeders from the Ameraucana Breeders Club, the quality will be better and so will the price.

I wonder about the parent stock, were they are from. Honestly there is good and bad in in all birds. The key is what people are wanting to do with their birds. I have seen some mighty nice Hatchery stock as well. My Dad is working on a Blue Ameraucana.

Anybody shipping day-olds right now? I'm still patiently waiting for some purebreds with good egg color. Wheaten/Blue wheaten, black, blue, white, lavender...I'd like a variety of color if possible.

Thanks!

I finally checked the Meyer site and the birds, if are from the same flock as the ones pictured would be easter eggers. Still not true ameraucanas. This is the picture of a cock bird on their site:

Hi all,

Would anyone on here have any experience in exporting or be interested in looking into it? I live in the UK and would love to get my hands on some beautiful ameraucana bantams, but I haven't had any luck in finding anyone who I can ask.

To import, I need a health certificate which would be issued by a vet. If someone can give me their vet's number, maybe I can enquire, if no-one else can.

Not to mention the comb and lack of beard/muffs

I don't know what that roo looks like, but it's sure not an Ameraucana. I've seen (purposely bred) EEs that look way more like the standard than that guy!

I can see the train wreck coming a mile away...

Oh my goodness. Why can't the hatcheries use real ameraucana if they want to sell REAL AMERAUCANA? It's like they go out of their way to do things like this. *sigh*
