Proud papa again!



I bought 3 Toulouse goslings at Rural King. We had wanted to raise some geese for the table, and now I guess we will. With it being so warm I wanted to get the 3 little ones out on some grass. I took them down just to meet Boris and the 2 girls. Boris heard them and ran to the fence and apparently called them. They ran from me and squeezed through the fence. He took them and this was them within minutes.

I have say that the paternal instinct of his really makes him endearing. Especially since he has never bit a person. Other animals like the cat and a cocky rooster are the only ones that have felt the wrath of Boris.

The 2 girls, Mary and Martha are now 5 weeks old. They sure do grow fast!

What a beautiful family, That Boris is a really great papa goose.

Thank you my friend....they do not necessarily need to be full grown either. Since I am in San Antonio, TX, they would have to be shipped to me...unless I can find someone around the San Antonio area I can go to and get them. Peace!

Go with express shipping if they are coming from Georgia, my friend. As a rule, if I am only a couple of states away I will go priority. Further than that I pay the extra for Express. I think it is better on the babies. You can also ask if they can put some lettuce or grass clippings in the box for the babies. Express can still take a few days depending on the distance.
