So are they out crossing to other breeds?You can't, really. Blue plus buff is Lilac. Blue's a dominant gene, so it can't really be carried without showing up. So, the 'buff' would have to actually be lilac or cream.

Americans already come in all these colors. When they first created the colors in the breed, maybe yes. Holderread first created. or discovered, the colors in his 20 years of researching goose color genetics.A couple years late to this, but Holderread outcrossed to other breeds (Sebastopol and Toulouse) for the color and then bred back to Americans until they were considered pure again.Now I'm curious how they got a blue goose from buffs.
