American Geese - Buff, Lavender, and Blue

@Pyxis I've got the parent genetics down I think:

Buff x Buff = Buff
Buff x Blue = Lilac
Buff x Lavender (Silver) = Cream
Lavender x Lavender = Lavender
Blue x Blue = Blue

What happens when you start crossing Cream and Lilac back to their parents or to each other?

Buff x Cream =
Buff x Lilac =
Lavender x Cream =
Lavender x Lilac =
Blue x Cream =
Lilac x Cream =
Lilac x Lilac =
Cream x Cream =
Blue x Lilac =

Help? 😬

I'm looking for like a Splash x Black = 100% Blue etc. sort of thing.

Okay, I would assume that
Buff x Cream = Buff
Buff x Lilac = buff
Lavender x Cream = lavender
Lavender x Lilac = lavender
Blue x Cream = blue
Lilac x Cream = possibly any from the parents
Lilac x Lilac = lilac
Cream x Cream = lilac
Blue x Lilac = blue

But that's just with basic punnent squares

So for anyone following this, I did order eggs. The breeder did a test hatch to check fertility and sent me six eggs (plus one extra) that arrived this morning. They were well-packed and clean.

All eggs appear whole to my roommate who unpacked them for me. I'll candle them when I get home to check air cells. Fingers crossed that the air cells are whole and intact. I'll be crushed if I have a bunch of bubbles like the Call Duck eggs I had shipped last year.

Buff x Cream = All Lilac
Buff x Lilac = 50% buff, 50% Lilac
Lavender x Cream = This deals with possible sex linking. If it's Cream gander over lavender hen, lavender males and cream females. Lavender gander over cream hen, all lavender.
Lavender x Lilac = 50% blue, 50% lavender
Blue x Cream = Again this is sex linked. Blue gander x Cream hen, 50% blue and 50% lavender. Cream gander x blue hen, 25% blue males, 25% silver males, 25% cream females, 25% lilac females.
Lilac x Cream = 50% cream, 50% lilac.
Lilac x Lilac = 50% lilac, 25% cream, 25% buff.
Cream x Cream = All cream
Blue x Lilac = Sex linked just like blueXcream.

Here, you can play with this if you want. The genes in question are buff and blue, so those are the ones you'll want to play with. When the calculator says the color is Silver, that's the color that is called Lavender in Americans.

Hey I have 4 blue and 5 lavender from holderreads, They are laying and 2 incubators are full. My husband is nervous, because he thinks we will be overrun--so if anyone is interested in eggs, goslings or adults, let me know.

I'd possibly be interested in some eggs, if you want to send me a message :)

As most people know, Holderread's Waterfowl has stopped offering goslings. I am reaching out to see if they are still shipping adult birds, or if they've sold everything off. In the meantime, I did stumble across Blue House Farm located in North Carolina. They offer hatching eggs (shipped or picked up) from their geese as well as goslings (pick-up only). I thought I would share this information as I remember some other members looking for the two less common colors. I have an email in to them, and am awaiting a reply concerning wait lists, availability, etc. and will keep you all posted. :)
