American Idol

Yep, Chickeypoo, I'm there with you. I've always felt that way. I was always taught in talent development, "If they have an attitude BEFORE they are signed, it will get IMPOSSIBLE after they are signed." So far, I've seen that to be true.

And, those with the least talent have the biggest attitudes.

what did you think of Rod Stewart?

thought he was drunk or high, did you see he almost fall a couple of times...I actually felt sorry for him. i never really liked him anyway, but...

Oh, I forgot about that! Yeah, Rod Stewart sounded like he was 160 years old and really did look drunk. I missed most of the show, but caught the last 20 minutes or so. Have it on TiVo, but have not yet taken the time to look at it. That was terrible.

"Genetic make-up"? Freddie Mercury had black hair; Adam has strawberry blonde. Freddie was slight in stature; Adam had an admitted weight problem. Freddie Mercury and Adam have strong voices......I guess that might be a genetic similarity, but not nearly as prominent as stature and features, so I guess I don't understand the description? Plus, your "Yuck, I'm glad he lost" seems to make it sound like you have something against the "genetic make up" of both men? I don't understand, at least I sure HOPE I don't understand!

Freddie Mercury had a truly amazing voice and performance ability. He was very theatrical! I think Adam would be a wonderful choice to front the next generation of Queen and I think that Freddie would have blessed that decision. He would have really liked Adam, I think. No singer could ever REPLACE Freddie, but that doesn't mean that the band couldn't come out with their brand of music with a new singer and have success. I'd love to hear what they would create together.
