I probably wouldn't either if I didn't have a mother who adores him. She made me listen to this song over and over again one day while I was at her house. I actually do like that song quite a bit. He also is the original singer of this. (That is his wife in the video.

Did anyone else see James on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning? He sang that Carole King song (can't remember the name of it now, of course) and did a great job. He was having a facial tic that I've never seen him have before.... I wonder if nerves/stress exacerbates his Tourettes, poor guy. Anyway, I don't worry about his career at all, he is going to go far with it!

My wife watched the show and said his Tourette's was really acting up. I'm guessing strange situations, stress exacerbate the condition. She also thought his rendition of the second was exceptional. Interesting story about how he nearly didn't try out for Idol. He was a pizza delivery guy-- unable to get the day off. Just prior to Idol, the pizza place went out of business and he was out of a job. Trust me "there are no coincidences, only providences."

I've been voting for Scotty since the beginning and I haven't changed my mind. When I watched the video of him performing in his home town it confirmed that I was backing 'the right horse'. He's a Christian man that isn't afraid to tell the audience about his faith. That makes his talent just that much sweeter for me. If you all haven't heard him sing "That Long Dark Train" you really should check out the link a few posts above and hear it.....OMG it's powerful!

I have said for weeks that Scotty will win it .. based on:

Teenage girls voting over and over again and the backing of the country community.

He's talented, and I like country, so I'll probably buy his albums ..

BUT .. not many people have the musical understanding and talent as Casey .. he got a little weird, but when I go back and look at his earlier audition tapes .. wow.

Haley is the best raw talent.. she can do more with her voice than anyone .. I can't wait to see what goes on.

It's been a great season.

James is still my guy ..
