American serama thread!

They are about 6 months (a little late on the training) but creeper legs are when the legs are to short and the wings drag on the ground

Oh, they're still so young! But even if they're not show quality, I bet they're sweet! Mine are doubtfully show quality, but I still love 'em!

Well, I have that coop outside I'm building, almost double the size of the first one, and now I'm thinking I want to keep my Seramas closer to the house, like in the patio. So I need to build yet another coop

LOL, but not sure hubby will let me! LOL

I have come to the conclusion that my sick hen has coryza...and since she was with my other chickens...they probably have it also...I got several eggs from them before she became ill...my question is...will these new chicks be coryza free and safe to breed and sell? If I keep them away from the older sick birds, can I have a healthy new flock...and if the older birds live and are carriers...can I still hatch eggs from them that wont be carriers?

From what I read on poultry site infectious coryza is not egg transmitted. I say isolate the sick one because some say they isolated one and the rest of the flock showed no signs of the illness. But just keep an eye on everyone and clean feeders, waters, and the coop with bleach. I wish you the best of luck

Easter Eggers - They look just fine. They do not have long legs but from the photos, they appear adequate.

Let them hatch!
I can see why this is so addicting!

Anyone have lots of these in the city? I'm wondering how if I can keep a few boys together with a flock of serama and have everyone get along. We just finished our big new chicken run and I want to know if I can give them all free run of it or if I' have to separate them. I feel like they would just be more happy with the whole run to play with rather than be sectioned off ya know?
