American serama thread!

Well I have 9 eggs in official lockdown. Why I say this is the first 3 that hatched were ahead of the others by 3 days. They had been sat on by the hen and had a head start. The others are now right on the time they should be and keeping my hands out of the bator. The littlelist and prettiest, the one chick that was shrinked rapped just was not right and didn't have a chance. He was all crooked in the neck area and couldn't get his balance. So sad.

Well it looks like I have one starting to pip! Tell you in the morning if I get another.

Well, if you guys don't mind...might I post some pix?

These are new birds I got today. A trio that I am very happy with. These were taken not long after I got them home and they were a bit flighty, but I think they are visible enough if you blow them up. I would like an opinion on the roo's color. They are 5-6 months old. The light pullet is older, I think, due to the color of her comb. But I am pleased.

His back should tighten and he was running around a lot, so hard to get a still shot. I hope he is a good roo. What color would you call this?

she is older

This pullet is much better when she relaxes. And she still has a lot of maturing to do.

Thanks for indulging me. Pictures don't do these guys justice right now. They spook fairly easy at the moment. I will try to work with them a few days and try again. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Thx!

Lunar,
Sorry, do not know what caused the post to duplicate.

In that case. LOL! Here are my 7 1/2 week old babies!

FireStorm, the red/gold/black frizzled boy

Myles, the dominant cockerel in the group...he has lots of attitude

Blaise, the third cockerel in the group. This guy hatched out dark mahogany, and I love him so far...such a striking boy!

Morrigan, my sweet little princess

Perspehone

Anastasia, the smallest pullet, but the one with a TON of attitude :D

and Selene, the fluffy diva...

WOW!! Very nice.
