American serama thread!

So exciting everyone!!! I love al these pictures.
I think you guys are actually turning me on to frizzles! Some of those little guys are darling!

I won't be getting any more serama eggs until March. Unless of course Belle starts laying again before then... we'll see. It seems like I'm the only person in Tucson who's chickens aren't laying! What the heck! grrrr

Well, if you guys don't mind...might I post some pix?

These are new birds I got today. A trio that I am very happy with. These were taken not long after I got them home and they were a bit flighty, but I think they are visible enough if you blow them up. I would like an opinion on the roo's color. They are 5-6 months old. The light pullet is older, I think, due to the color of her comb. But I am pleased.

His back should tighten and he was running around a lot, so hard to get a still shot. I hope he is a good roo. What color would you call this?

she is older

This pullet is much better when she relaxes. And she still has a lot of maturing to do.

Thanks for indulging me. Pictures don't do these guys justice right now. They spook fairly easy at the moment. I will try to work with them a few days and try again. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Thx!
When they strut, it really does come from a confident attitude, and being they just had a long trip to your house, it'll probably take a while until they feel at home again :) Even so, they are beautiful! I have no idea on chicken colors in general or in Serama, LOL, I have got to save up and buy Sigrid's book!
Just put 3 of Bhep's eggs into lockdown!!!
Awesome!!! Her birds are so pretty! I really love my little cockerels, they're so friendly!
Hatched a white or yellow chick, can't tell which yet. The last white chick turned out to be solid citron. Yeah, I have silver in my stock!

Citron? Really? You must post a picture of it!!! My little cockerel from the NYD hatchalong was almost pure white, but he has browns and beige in him now :)

Tell Belle to stop slackin' LOL. How is the weather in Tucson now? Is it warm or cold (you're high up, no?) I know it has nothing to do with egg laying, just curious ;)

All of the birds pictured are kapan. But they do look good enough for what they are.

Rumor has it, some true serama are currently in the process of being imported, so maybe that will help.

Tim--what are you saying are the major differences between a kapan and serama?

chicklittlel put him on your ignore list and don't make any comments to him. If you go back to posts made earlier this month in the thread you will see the conversation that took place. This thread was actually locked and then reopened thanks to our understanding moderators.
