Ihad a problem with fungus knats in my tomatoes and watermelons...I lost my first watermelon plant that had my fist ever tiny watermelon on it... Also lost my sun sugar cherry tomato plant does DE work in the soil of the plants to kill those discussing bugs?

You can sprinkle it on the whole plant besides the soil. It will not harm the plant or fruits
