You know, I tried, but they're SO SMALL!!! Ugh! I just can't get a splint on right. So what I've been doing is holding the foot with tendon in place and stretching the foot forward (bending it, stretching the tendon) and we've made progress, as the tendon is stretching, and s/he is able to hold it that way for a bit before I put him/her down, and s/he pops it out again. I hope we can fix this??

Just know that they are really fragile, fragile inside. The shipping takes a toll. You should try to buy eggs closest to where you live, thought that's no guarantee! When they get home to you, candle them and mark the ones with loose air cells. Next, give them at least 12 hours of settling in room temperature before putting them in the incubator. I wouldn't turn them for the first 3 days at all. Studies show there is no need to turn until day 4-10. This will give them as much time as possible to settle their air sacks.

I checked Creiglist and called paradise seramas with no replyI can get LF pullets the size of my serama on Sunday from my feed store. Maybe if I introduce them at the same size, they won't fight when the LF gets older

Aright I think the hatching marathon is just about over. I've got 14 hatched, 2 still zipping, and of course the random quail... lol
How handsome!!!! I really love these birdshere's my new little baby his hen died so I got a frizzle to day he is really happy now because he con go out side now

I had a mishap happen while I was out. Someone let the big roosters out, and they disturbed Hermione, who fled to her coop (she was setting the eggs on a shelf) and then she got locked up inside the cage, so the egg was all cold and not moving when I discovered what happened. I've put her back on the nest but don't know if it will revive. It's a few days behind the others. I currently have 12 chicks, but the one with the slipped tendon seems to be slipping away. I'm afraid he/she won't make it. Oh well.
Awww, sweet!talk about Seramas being the best chickens! i open the run every day for my hen to run around! i close it in the afternoon. i decided to take a shower after i closed it. when i went back to collect eggs, the run door was wide open! my serama was there waiting for me to close it! any other chicken would just escape!
