I just purchased this guy, he's a 5 month old cockerel that weighs around 16oz... is his color just considered birchen?

I will be purchasing some hatching eggs in a few weeks that will hopefully produce some pullets for him for the future :)

Birchen is black with silver hackle and silver saddle.

A friend of mine has full size RIR hens.
She heard that I was looking to rehome my 6 week serama cockerel chick and asked if she could have him.
She doesn't have any roosters.
Would this ever work out?
When would be the time to introduce him to her flock (he'll never be even close to their size).
Shes looking for a in charge / keep the flock behaving cockerel/rooster. Shes not looking to breed (obviously).

I added 2 bantam Cochins and a Silkie to a small flock of Seramas (5 hens and a rooster) and the rooster, although very good with the Serama hens, does not seem to recognize the others as chickens and has not made them part of his flock. We have reached a point where an uneasy truce has been in effect, but he watches carefully for any perceived aggression by the interlopers toward his girls and runs interference.

Any time one of the large hens from the laying flock comes around, he goes after them as if they were killer hawks or something! Maybe it's just my guy, and he might have been more broad minded if raised with the larger chickens. I have seen pics of flocks of mixed sizes, but you don't really know how the interactions work.

Ok "Ronnie" as my daughter named him is officially for sale.
I'm in northern NJ 07035 and he's pick up only.
He hatched April 30th along with his 2 sisters but I can't keep roosters in our town :*(
He is very much loved and we are looking for the same type of home for him preferably with a Serama or bantam flock for him.
Asking $25 rehoming fee but it is negotiable to the right home/family.
Please PM me with any questions.
