ill go ahead and start to do that for them. I am curious if your remember what gender the chicks in your pictures ended up being ? Do you still have them?I do take a little extra care of my Serama babies. I grind the chick food so the crumbs are smaller. I also give them a bit of crumbled boiled egg yolk and sav-a-chick supplement once or twice in their water.
i will keep them in for a few months. I want them to be able to be big enough to dodge my Mille Fluer . She's sweet though( to me) lol maybe not the new comers. Plus they are tiny! They could crawl right through the wire.A convenient alternative to grinding food finer is sifting the crumbles with a mesh pasta strainer, you can get lots of fine particles that way. Also you should use the "quail bottom" waterer for them, as for the first few weeks they have the potential to drown in a standard chick fountain. I see you've got pebbles in there, so just keep a close eye! Other than that, pretty much normal care. I tend to keep my smallest chicks under a lamp until week 10 instead of week 8, but that's me being paranoid, I think.
Seramas in my experience start showing their roosters pretty early in the game, but I have also had two "this is def a rooster" turn out to be hens. They will tempt you to jump the gun on sexing. Don't give in!
