OK, Jamie, don't panic! You can put an infra-red heat lamp in a corner of his cage, in case he needs the extra warmth. Has he been exposed to any mold or dust of some kind? Do you have any antibiotics on hand? Tylan is usually good for respiratory problems. I mix it in a tiny bit of applesauce or yogurt or chopped hard-boiled egg and hand feed it. If he won't eat one mixture, try another. Do you have any Oxine? Mix some up and put into a humidifier aimed at his cage, so he can breathe it in. Does he have any other symptoms? Is he eating and drinking? Putting some vitamins in his water wouldn't hurt either...

Like pongo said, he probably just has a cold. Tylan orally with either Sav-a-chick or electrolytes in the water. Lots of greens/protiens and good old TLC. Hopefully that is all he needs. Keep him from drafts and dust, watch lots of TV with him in yer lap....

No I don't have any antibiotics. Only thing I have here are the Polyvisol drops. Where can I get them? I have a heat lamp so I'll set it up. No mold anywhere. He's in shavings but I got some straw today, figured it would be less dusty. I have applesause and eggs. I've never even heard of oxine

But I have many humidifiers! I know he's eating and drinking but I haven't pais attention if its less than normal...I will now though!

He's been cuddled around my neck for a good hour now. My kids are just getting over colds & sinus infections, now poor Anthony. I'm not sure where to buy this stuff but I'm sure I'll find it online somewhere. Thanks everybody

You should be able to find Tylan at a feed store, Oxine will probably have to be ordered online...Here's a link with info about it, it's great stuff! http://www.shagbarkbantams.com/oxine.htm It's well worth buying and sitting in a closet until you need it. If he's eating, chopped hardboiled egg is always good for an extra protein boost...

I get my tylan at the local feed store...try pet shops--you can use baby poly-vi-sol WITHOUT iron. That would be fine. Also the polyvisol withOUT iron is fine too. Oxine is usually only available on line and you can forgo it for now...try these things first.
IF he starts showing a discharge out of his nose and/or bubbles out of his eyes THEN you will want to go with stronger meds. But for now this will be fine.....OXINE is good to have around it is a great disinfectant and you can use it for humans too!
I get it from Revival Animal Health online.....
