How is that even done? The rooster part I mean!

HAHA when I first heard about this I started picturing fake chicken body parts like with semen collection for horses!
This is where I learned to do it, and this is actually how I do it. It has been working fairly well for me! I haven't actually hatched anything yet (although I have about half in my cooler bator that are developing!!!!) but the eggs ARE fertile!

Take a rooster place him upsidown in your lap while sitting. cup your hand and start rubbing from the Saddle feathers to the tail... The roosters muscles should tighten up and release the semen through the vent... You must quickly suck it up with a medicine dropper, or a pipette. Put the rooster back and take your hen and turn her upside down and drop the seed on her vent, it should get sucked in by the hens vent.

I will post a pink to a video when I get home.

ALRIGHT!! I am fed up with my luck right now.
I have been keeping a close eye on Turtle since his episode, and I just went outside to take some pictures of him and Elena and Turtle was dead!!!! What the heck?
He looked just like Belle when I found her dead. Like they were running and tripped and face planted into the dirt. Wings kinda pointed back but close to the body, face down in the dirt.
I swear he totally fine this morning!!!!
Could it be my coop? Taco and Elena both lived in that coop with their now deceased partners and they have never had any health problems. Is there something I need to do to the coop and run before I put birds back in there?

could be tics. they hook up to the skin like an IV full of poison. did they free range in grass too tall? taller than them? and did you stop them from taking dust baths? if it is tics, fence off, or cut grass that is taller than 4 inches. if you have grass in your run were taco and elena died. put you chickens in their coop, and poor lots of boiling water in the grass. be carefull, you dont want to get the tics on you...expose little of your skin (especially lower half of your body). it would be impossible to check all chickens. the other possibility is a tape worm or some other kind of worm. they could have got worms by either drinking dirty puddles of water, or drink pond water. stop your chickens from eating things like LOL Uncooked meat, or raw vegis. also dont let them free range when the grass is too wet.
