Oh! Well he hasn't attacked me again. I haven't spent much time with him though. I want to make sure they are comfortable in their coop before I risk taking them out where they could get away from me. I'm off all next week though so I hope to spend all my time hanging with my chickens while I work on stuff out there.

Prefer, healthy without feet issues over an earlier hatch!  Already had to deal with that and it is so sad.  Had high spikes, out of 36, 6 hatched, ALL 3 of the BOs had issues, not a single one is alive today.....3 Barnies all made it, but the one I still have is called "Shaggy" for a reason.  The other 2 have new homes so not sure how they are doing.

I was talking about a still air incubator. Never had any problems with 102 deg with my cuckoo marans, americanas, and serums. Alway got 100% perfect healthy hatches thank G-d! The only weird thing is when I incubate at 102deg I get more boys?

I am overrun with Serama roos!! LOL Here is the list of who I have now...and what the plan is. All of my roos get along FOR NOW...but there have been a couple of squabbles as of recent and my "teens" are starting to mate, which doesn't make my "Big Boys" too happy....LOL!

DUKE - Old man Serama who is very protective of his "ladies" but isn't mating much anymore - from Jerry's stock in LA
ISAAC - Mature Silkied Roo but knows he is 2nd to Duke and stays out of the way!
ROBERT - My sweetest MF Serama Roo Teenager!! Such a gentleman and even dances for me and offers me food when I see him! LOL
MATTHEW - MF Serama Roo Teenager - Good qualities, but not sweet like my Robert! I will be selling him SOON.
CARSON - Gorgeous Serama Roo Teenager - Pushing his limits with the older Roos because he is mating their ladies! Yikes!
BRANSON - My one little Serama Roo BABY who I hatched from a Castle Delight Serama egg - adorable guy and comes running to me when I call!


DAISY - Older Serama Hen - her eggs are SO SMALL that they are incredibly hard to hatch - BROODY A LOT!!
MELODY - Mature Silkied Serama Hen - Wry tail and only lays MAYBE once a week - Loves Isaac and Duke equally!
EDITH - Buff, Black Tailed Serama Teenager - Very sweet & loves Robert to death!
SYBIL - Pretty little Serama Teenager - A little on the larger side, but very pretty - hangs mostly with Carson!

Sooooo......you can see my problem! LOL -- WAY TOO MANY ROOS and NOT ENOUGH HENS!! EEEEKKKK!
So, the plan is to get rid of at LEAST one Roo and buy at LEAST 4 Hens.

Ya! out of ten cuckoo maramns... 1 was a female! and out of 5 ameraucanas... 2 were females! i hope out of these eight serama chick, 4 girls at least!

They love the cheerios as a snack. Stick with the hard boiled egg. Drop your temp a little if you want more girls.
