American serama thread!

So, I was bored on Monday and made a video of my chicken tricks! The audio is super quiet, but the chicken tricks are cute!

My Serama chicks (not yet named). About a month old and paired up already! I separated them from their surrogate Silkie mother about a week ago, and upon reintroduction the cockerels have been been 'cutting the wing' towards their former mother and one continuously grabs her tail feathers, even hops on top of her holding her by the crest. They sure grow fast!
I love your birds! That frizzle hen is adorable!

That's awesome!

Hey Serama lovers!

For those of you that have thought about diapers - now is the time!
I'm cleaning out my sewing stash so am offering diapers on sale, check my listing or PM me if you are interested!

Why would you want to nip them off anyway? Let the plant do what the plant's gonna do; that way if something happens and the fruit fails, you have more. Besides, in general, when you prune something like that, they just branch off and grow like heck. Nature is a wonderful thing; LEAVE IT ALONE and everyone will be a lot happier.

Ripening depends a lot on day length, degree days, variety, etc and so on. That's one reason why they give you a date from planting; flowering time and fruit development is going to vary somewhat and average out to what they tell you on the packet.

Beats me; I just let Mother Nature do her thing and don't worry about it. Last I heard, female flowers go until pollinated and then collapse to work on fruit.

Can we please get back to Seramas now?

So cute, I'm so glad it survived!

Hope you get a frizzle too! you have, I believe, a 50/50 chance??!!

Leonardo. He just keeps looking better as he matures!

Xander, my Black Frizzle, he has a bit of red in his hackles which is gogeous!

And My Wheaton Hen. The eggs in the bator are possibly from either roo above and her, so maybe an oops-frizzle chick will hatch.
