My little silkie man :)

He's adorable! Glad you got a silkied one! Now to track down who he came from, lol... :)

Anyone near Sacramento California have extra babies? I am willing to buy, I'd just like a young one to get used to being indoors with me. I can promise a great home!

I'm still in shock over him lol. I'm so happy about him I can't stand it! LOL. My seramas are currently all being housed together at the moment as I'm using their separate cage set ups for broodies. That means I have about 30 serama housed together and would have no way of knowing where he came from :/ Hoping for others but if not I'm glad I at least got him. Will try to hatch some other bloodlines from ladycat once hers start laying. I hatched a couple straight feathered and a frizzled from her previously but they're not old enough to breed yet. Boy does my youngest niece just love them. I think they actually like her too lol. She's only 2 and has to kiss them all whenever she's over. She's been here a lot lately as my sister has been coming over working on her boat a few times a week and she wears me out. Don't know how they handle it but they run up to her when she goes into the coop. Almost like they're waiting for their turn to be picked up and kissed lol. It's adorable but takes quite some time waiting for her to make sure she gets everyone :) She is just the sweetest thing most of the time but is only 2 so can't leave her with them unsupervised meaning I'm left there waiting/watching patiently lol. Just can't help but love the little munchkin :)

Gasp! Your Silkied Serama is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I need one!

Thanks. He is just the cutest little thing. I kept telling myself that his feathers must just be tattered, he can't possibly be silkied, I don't have silkied seramas. But then came the chest feathers over the past week and sure enough, they're silkied. Along with those chest feathers came the start of little red wattles too lol. I have a few extras roos as it is but I will find a place for him for sure. He loves his cochin momma though and isn't ready to leave the nest just yet so I will give them more time together before I move him to the grow out pen and her back to her coop. She still has 5 babies and all 5 from different breeds lol. She knows no difference :)

The rooster I got is definitely Serama only, but he has leg feathers!?! She's never come acrosd that in her flock, but the others look so much more like silkies. Chicken magic?

Someone in her serama flock is carrying the booted gene then :) I have 2 visually booted seramas in my flock and I'm sure plenty that carry the gene but don't show it.

Here Is my situation... I am saving the money to get eggs to hatch so I can breed and sell Chicks/eggs. I need about 60- More Dollars to get the incubator and the eggs that I want. I am near auburn so I am super close to sac. About 30 min. So If you want to wait 6+ Months I could do it, I would not be disappointed if you didn't. I understand. Lol
