American serama thread!

Serama roosters are my favorite. I have two cockerels that will follow me around. So sweet :love
I have 4
Smudge
Honey Thorn
Willow
And Cajun.
There are 2 silked Serama Chicks in the brooder, I'm hoping for pullets but I won't cry if they are cockerels .. I'll keep a couple pullets from Cajun and Sabine. .My frizzled Serama pullet and silked feathered rooster if they are boys

I have nine seramas overall . 4 of which are roosters/cockerels.
How old are those two silkied chicks? I was able to sex mine at 2 weeks

5 days and 13 days
I'm leaning towards pullet on the older one and 75/25 that the younger one is too

I have one pullet and I'm not sure what color/variety she would be considered... I would have to get pics tomorrow. I dont want to posts the pictures on the thread for personal reasons, so if you would like to help just PM me or quote this and ask me to PM. (This post isn't directed towards anyone, open for anyone)

God bless,

I’ve had cockerels that I could tell were male by a week or two, and others that took several weeks to reveal themselves. Flock dynamics plays a big part in when one may blossom.

Do these silkied feathered Chicks need more heat and for longer? I had them in a large tote with 100 watt bulb but they were acting cold even the 2 week old.. Got out the heat lamp and they settled down to eating . Temp under the bulb is 98°

I think they sure like the extra heat. They would probably get used to it, but they are definitely a little more fragile.
