I use large dog crates, two to a crate. I have nipple waterers and hanging feeders (parrot ones) to try and keep food wastage down.I'm thinking of bringing my 2 seramas inside this winter. Do you keep them in parrot cages or dog crates? Any housing ideas for me would be welcome.
(The silkies & OEG hens should be OK inside the coop.)
I'm guessing just as my Silkie & Sebright have always been infertile (due to having giant LF orpington roosters), that my silkied serama will be unable to fertilize the big LG orps.He’s so tiny compared to them! Adorable!![]()

Now that we have a mini rooster, I'm hoping the bantam girls will finally be able to hatch their own fertilized eggs. Of course, I still enjoy watching the little hens cover their giant babies.
