American serama thread!

Sorry to read that you won't be selling eggs. Maybe time for new blood.

As much as I and others love the Tribbles, I feel like I am forced to diversify.
I am going to the other extreme now and developing a large breed hybrid.
These are Rainbow Rock, which are 50% Dixie Rainbow & 50% Barred Rock.
I'm getting ready to hatch my first batch of Rainbow 75, which are 75% Dixie Rainbow.

13 week old Serama roosters. Winston is a frizzle and Magnus is silky. I was so hoping at least one would be a girl but now I'm certain. 2 boys. Luckily Serama roosters are so sweet

Ra-I'm going the opposite direction. Today I sold the Rhode Island and New Hampshire reds, large cochins, and black sex links. The Polish and favorelles I'm keeping??????? In the end I will probably just keep a few serama and the long-tails; a yokohama/phoenix/polish cross

Sorry about the dog killing your birds. That's awful

Super sorry for all the bad luck @nchls school ...
And..
Sorry to change the subject..
How good is this guy? He is almost nine months. I was wondering how he compared to the standard type wise. I have the 2014 ABA SOP but am still learning some different parts.

A hen pulled one of his sickle feathers out BTW.

@Faraday40 I’m not seeing any blatant cockerel signs on any of those chicks yet. :fl

I have a ton of silkieds now. I finally moved in the younger cockerel to run that pen, as my older fella would throw occasional leg feathers. The girls seem to have accepted the new guy, so we’ll see how it goes.

Sorry if these are repeat pics, can’t remember if I shared them or not.

I'm jealous. Wish mine looked as good.
