This young one is looking good so far.

I'd say smooth for Goldie there. My last hatch is almost a week old, and their wing feathers are starting to come in.
White chick looks smooth feathered:

Light chick looks like silkied feathers.

Gold chick is difficult. Silkied? or smooth? What do you think?

But they're all adorable.

Yeah, I'm unsure. I'll have to grab some pics this afternoon. The cinnamon one still has a flat pale comb, but the little white one, and I mean little as in hslf the size, has a bright pink/red flat comb but absolutely NO wattles! Both are wild childs. I try to pick each one up everyday though to get used to being handled. Jasper actually let me cuddle him briefly last night. I was happy.@homeschoolin momma
BTW- What genders are Phoe's serama chicks?
The gray one I kept is now ??? gender. I thought female at 3 weeks, but now at 5 weeks the comb is a little pink. (Of course Teddy was a very obvious male by 5 weeks, so that's why I'm unsure.) I'll try to take & post a pic tomorrow.
Yeah, i dont know....i think i see some small wattles. I can't see any on mine. Maybe they are late bloomers? Here's the gray 5 wk old serama. (Calling for its mama - not crowing.)
Though some of the pic angles make it look boy-ish. Other times looks female.

To compare, here's the chick's father (Teddy) last summer at 5 weeks old
