American serama thread!

Well, I just finished wrestling a whole different type of problem. Was thinking it may be rats under my chimney near my coop. Turns out not rats at all....rat snakes instead!

I appreciate that they eat the rats, but they also enjoy BIRDS and EGGS!!
Not to mention critters are not allowed to live in the chimney!

Awesome thread! I'm interested in seeing other folks' enclosures. Due to space restrictions, I have my birds in pens inside my coop. I can't let them run together, as NONE of my roosters get along, and I even have a hen or two who will beat the living daylights out of other birds - especially if they're in broody mode. I'd just be interested to see what other folks' setups look like. Someday, I'll live on green acres, but until then... it's town life for me :-/ If this has already been mentioned, I apologize; but, I haven't seen it yet. If interested you can see photos of my pens here: http://feathersfur.weebly.com/the-coop.html

so sorry.

thats how i have mine. i have two 10 by 10 dog runs with tops. then pens inside of that. So no predators can get them. Now i do let them out of that but only when im out there with them
