is it eating and drinking on it's own...?

i have raised some single chicks before... in the living room where it saw/heard more people... now she's super attached to me... she loves being held and is the sweetest girl i have... she's an oegb/serama mix too...

No, it is still in the incubator as it was very weak. Trying to walk but i will not put it with the others until I feel it is strong enough and of course the food and water are in the brooder. This just happened at lunch time today.

i know this sounds silly, but get some chick starter, put it on the bottom of the brooder, and tap it with your finger nail while making the BAP! BAP! BAP! BAP! noise... LOL... kind of how the roosters feed their hens... and the chick will run to you and taste what you are taping at... they even eat off my finger that way...

it really works... ask sue, bill and joey... LOL... they kept laughing when the little pullet would run to my hand thinking it was gonna score a treat...

What about giving the chick some karo syrup mixed in a bit of water??? Just to get the blood sugar up, and once it's a little perkier then try to get it to eat starter or boiled egg??

I have a show next month and Im gona look there. I have a friend loaning me her boy but I need one of my own. I am finding only 3 and 4 month old right now and Jerry has 4 month old too. Lets wait til the next show is over mid Oct. I was going to trade a roo at last fair but I backed out because I wanted to hold on to all my whites frizzle roos.
