Yellow legs only matter if you are showing in coop at ABA/APA shows. Swarthy is acceptable, green, white, or slate legs are DQ'd, because it is based on the SOP for white serama.
If you are showing tabletop, and SCNA shows, any leg color is perfectly fine. Seramas have the genetics for many different colors. Don't look at them as faults. They are part of what make Serama unique in my opinion.
Breeding for yellow leg color is most difficult in blue and black birds, but it can be done. I've only researched breeding out green legs not other colors. And they don't all work the same way, so I can't offer more than that.
Edited to add.... Breed for best type first, and leg color last. A yellow legged bird without good type, is worth less than a green legged bird with good type.
