American serama thread!

I'm looking at the "saddle" feathers on the dark hen and seeing rooster feathers.

That was my original thinking as well, but I looked long and hard at that Hen and concluded she's a hen.

Also she has laid an egg while in my care.

Ok guys, I have some updates on my little serama. She is doing very well. I know the age was controversial, but everyone decided she was about 4 weeks old. That was about 1 week ago. So today, she should be near 6 weeks. I am hoping you will tell me..that it is a she. She still doesn't have the feathers that other 5-6 week old seramas have. We have been working on posture for treats...and she has improved from her lazy eyed look. She's the first out of the cage and on my knee everyday, we just love HER! I hope its a HER! Oh, and please tell me what color you think she will be.

Hi,
I haven't been on the forum for a while, but here's some pictures of some of my Seramas.
Here is Dolly, my frizzle pullet from Castle Delights :)
And two of my frizzle babies from my hen Marilyn and my Rooster Elvis :)
Phyllis my silkie hen is in one with Dolly :)

Memphis ... You are so funny :) If I ever have to find homes for them, she's yours :) I still can't believe she was an ebay egg and turned out so good. She is so different from the picture when she was a chick in my avatar. I need to get in gear and plant them some new grass now that it's warm enough to grow!

She looks pretty girly to me :) If she is younger than you think, it might not be correct though if the chick is a late bloomer. I think you are pretty safe though. She looks like 4 weeks to me too, that is about when the shoulder feathers pop up.
