American serama thread!

I wish I had some grown hens that became broody! It's so hard to hatch these serama eggs and I'm still so nervous over them! I really want something to hatch out alive (and stay alive)

ack! sorry for taking so long to reply (this thread sorta goes to the back fo my mind)
i want to remake the thread because the thread before the upgrade on BYC cannot be edited, and if some one want pics of their birds on the front page, put news of what going on in the serama world i wont be able to do that unless i remake the thread.

i hope you under stand

Well, I had a problem with the incubator and the temperature spiked. It was almost 102, and I don't know why or how long it was that way. I did help the little guy/gal out because it had been almost 30 hours. I checked the other eggs and they were all dead. I think the temperature spike killed them. I don't know why that happened. It has never happened before. I luckily had another chick to hatch of mine from a broody that I put with the little Serama so it wouldn't be alone. It's doing great! I will have to take a picture it has a yellow head and neck, with the rest of the body being a silver gray color. It also has two yellow stripes down its back kind of like a chipmunk. I love it. I have more eggs coming so I am going to try again. I have never had that problem in all of the batched I have hatched out before. Incubating can be so frustrating!

If you help it you will either lose the rest or be prepared to help all the others.

One of our hens, Her babies are looking just like her, she is NOT in POSe in these photos, but man you should see her when she is =)
We will have Extreme American seramas offered for sale end of november when they grow out a bit more!
