Hopefully close to Tennessee. Yell at me if you have about 6 or even up to a dozen either way. Thanks!

Those spiral keychain wristbands do a great job in sorting out chicks. You can buy the cheapies on Amazon, and you get 12 loops of 6 colors for arund $5. Cut the loops into 1.5 loop pieces, and you get about 30 legbands per wristband. Very easy to put on new hatches, and they grow very easily with the bird without pinching. I think they're a super idea for identifying chicks.

I wish I had heard of this before! I have been using zip ties, and you have to keep on top of those so they don't outgrow them and get hurt. Matter of fact, I need to go check on my 2 leghorns outside! It's been a while......

Theese are whar I meant. The cheaper the better. The more expensive ones are thicker and more flexible, and the chicks can pull those off easier. You cut these in little spirals so that the ends overlap.

That's so awesome, Harmony is your daughter, right? So exciting!

Great price, Brookhavens! I'm just going to stick to my zip ties though because I already spent the money and have such a small number of birds, it's not too hard to check on them. The Leghorn girls were fine, nice and loose still :) They're not growing so fast anymore, and in fact might start laying in a month or so!
