we have one Amauracana pullet chick and she is adorable! She's black. We got her from melilem, and even though she's crawling with lice at the moment(
) we still love her very much! She's so friendly and social. Gets along great with the buff cochin chick, who is like a week or two younger than her.
They share a brooder box and they are soo cute!
She will lay blue eggs. Sorry you are having a hard time with yours! They will come around.

It depends, like other people said, about the individual bird and how it's fed, handled, etc. and how it grew up as a chick. It may also depend on the parents.
But I'm not sure. All I know is that I LOVE our am. chick, and we have never had this breed before, and so far it's going good(except for the lice)
