Yeah I think they decided to go cobroody. Anyways, bad news. I thought my issues were over. But four chicks died unexpectedly! I don’t understand what’s wrong with them. She’s so pretty!
Oh no!! That’s awful! I’m so sorry! Are they always from the same pairing? Or are you tracking that closely? Could they be finding something they shouldn’t be eating? That’s such a bummer!Yeah I think they decided to go cobroody. Anyways, bad news. I thought my issues were over. But four chicks died unexpectedly! I don’t understand what’s wrong with them.

I’ve used the same five birds for breeding for the last two years. Diamond and Hotshot seem to do fine but his daughters don’t.Oh no!! That’s awful! I’m so sorry! I saw in the other thread you are in Wisconsin…any way to find someone in MN or IL that has different stock? Maybe a larger show with more exhibitors? It’s tough finding good stock. How frustrating for you—seems like the person you got them from might need some new blood himself. I was just talking to a breeder of show d’Anvers yesterday and she said in CA she and two others are really the only choice. I didn’t get mine from them so we will see how they look, but it’s hard to find good show quality birds.I’ve used the same five birds for breeding for the last two years. I don’t think anyone in MN or IL has d’Anvers. Not a lot of d’Anvers in the upper midwest.I saw in the other thread you are in Wisconsin…any way to find someone in MN or IL that has different stock?
