Amers d’Anvers

Some pretty birds! I haven’t ever seen OEG in person! They’re really pretty! That Sumatra is also gorgeous—but my favorite is that Brown Red Ameraucana roo 😍 He’s gorgeous! I too love the black freckles on the legs! It looks so cute! 😍 I really love Splash as a color on chickens, but especially in Modern Game. I think it’s that super tiny, tight feathering—makes it look so artsy somehow. That leggy roo looks young—cockerel? His little legs are soo skinny! 😁 My son’s MGB won Best in Division at the County Fair. He’s a nice super leggy boy too! I can’t get over how funny they look though haha. Legs for days!

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing other birds at shows! 😍😍
I thought it would be a cockerel but I feel like the tag said cock.
I love splash too! MG are one of the few breeds where the color is accepted in the standard though.

She looks to be a bantam! I have a little poofy white bantam Wyandotte and she's just adorable. :D
I have a blue laced red Wyandotte that is standard size (slightly smaller than my others), but built like a bantam. She’s a hatchery chick so I don’t really know what all went in to developing the color, but she looks like a giant bantam, lol! I don’t have any official bantams in my flock, yet, but they’re on my want-list.

Yeah, I have a gold laced Wyandotte that is built like a bowling ball :D The bantams are super small in comparison, but still built like heavy duty balls :) I highly recommend them if you enjoy their personalities! :love Bantams are wonderful!

OMG…I honestly did not think d’Anvers were a terribly broody breed…so I got lazy collecting eggs from their coop…
