awwwwMy d’Anver hens went broody without my realizing…and by the time we realized they were hiding eggs…23 were developingSince they’re my show birds, I let them go even though it is the HOTTEST part of the year..figured if they hatched they’d be strong. So far we have about 12-14 (I can’t always count them all
) but I also got some surprise colors. I was expecting all black or black mottled babies (but I do have one lavender hen) and I got some lavender babies and a white baby! Didn’t expect those! The mottled rooster is one I acquired in February so I didn’t know his genetics…so fun surprises
